If you are entering Australia on a migration visa, your spouse and dependent children have the right to accompany you, and you can apply for visas for all of them on the same form and at no extra cost.
However, if you have already migrated to Australia without your family, or have obtained Permanent Residence status in Australia , or if you are a newly married Australian citizen or a permanent resident whose spouse is resident in another country, you can apply for your spouse and dependent children to join you in Australia . You can also apply for a visa for a prospective spouse whom you intend to marry in Australia.
Parents living outside Australia, aged remaining relatives & sole remaining relatives may be sponsored by their children who are Australian citizens or hold Australian permanent residence visa, but there are only a limited number of places allocated for parent migration in any year.
Family members who wish to visit you in Australia for a short time should apply for a temporary visa.
Oli & Associates will advise you on family migration categories and requirements and lodge visa applications on your behalf. Please contact us for further information. |
